How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

Helping women take care of themselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually as they experience midlife allows me to continue my vocation as teacher and caregiver. Perhaps even more important though is that by coaching women to make meaningful, sustainable changes, I’m able to impact not just them but the little people they are raising. I truly see my work as helping to change the negative societal midlife narrative so that the next generation does not even know it!

Who Is Your Ideal Client and Why?

Women in their 40s and 50s who are experiencing hormonal symptoms and are ready to make changes to alleviate those symptoms. I’ve focused on this population because I think there is a lack of education for women around their bodies in midlife, and because women in this group frequently forget to prioritize their health and self-care.

What Unique Offerings Do You Provide?

Each client’s plan is unique to her hormonal landscape. The personalization of food, movement, essential oils, supplements, and toxic burden relief makes sure each woman experiences sustainable, meaningful changes.

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?

My mom has always been my role model. She is a nurse, and her caregiver example impacts how I approach my family, friends, strangers, and clients. A true servant-leader, my mom is a great example of being present with and engaged with others, but making sure to keep her cup full.

Favorite Place to Escape and Refuel?

The tennis court.

Top 3 Ways to Treat Yourself to Self-Care?

1. Play tennis (or paddle- I’m just learning!)
2. Epsom salt bath with a book.
3. Time with friends (you know, the ones who fill your bucket).

How Do You Express Yourself Creatively?

Creating IG reels (this is newer, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how fun it is!) Writing blog posts and articles Making essential oil blends.

Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?

Searching for and Maintaining Peace. In my spiritual journey, I’m in a place where I’m trying to be more present and peaceful. This book gave some great action items.

Favorite Movie and Why?

I have been sitting with this question for weeks! It’s the only one that didn’t come quickly for me. I guess that means I don’t have a favorite movie!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Name of Your Business

Watson’s Candies.

How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

The work that I do at Watson’s Candies is multidimensional. What that means is that I market, I sell, I support, I create, and I even get to cook the chocolate sometimes! I feel very lucky to work with such wonderful people and that makes the job so much more enjoyable. When I was 8 years old I had a teacher ask me what I wanted to do when I grew up. My answer was that I wanted to say “Hello” to everyone in the world. Even though that goal may seem unattainable, working at Watson’s has helped me put quite the dent in that dream. We ship anywhere in the world, and I have met some amazing people near & far since I’ve been here!

Who Is Your Ideal Client and Why?

Who isn’t? We sell candy! Need a gift basket for a birthday, a wedding, or for someone suffering a loss? Have a friend or family member who enjoys homemade fudge, chocolates or world famous buttercrunch? Do you enjoy ice cream? Hard packed or soft serve? We have forty-eight flavors to choose from during the summer months. If you said yes to any of the above, YOU, are an ideal client. Come and see / taste for yourself!

What Unique Offerings Do You Provide?

Custom gifts for all occasions!

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?

I am very lucky to be surrounded by some pretty strong women who I consider role models. Many of whom have pushed me to make sure that I utilize my creative side to make a living. The best part about this job, is that the very woman I call “boss” has been one of those role models since I was 14. Virginia hired me in 2004 & gave me my first job. I owe a lot of my work ethic and dedication to my work to her. Who knew that at 14 I was already at the job that I would eventually make a career? I sure didn’t! But I am really happy that it worked out that way. Working by her side is so rewarding. She’s not just my boss, she’s my mentor & friend. .

Favorite Place to Escape and Refuel?

Even in the cold NE weather, when I really need to escape and refuel, I like to go to Gunrock Beach in Hull, MA. My family grew up going to this beach and there isn’t anything that balances me out more than a nice walk on that beach. At my most recent walk there I was reflecting on how blessed I am to love what I do for work. 🙂

Top 3 Ways to Treat Yourself to Self-Care?

1. My WeBreathe Wellness and SheBreathes membership, of course!
2. I try to pull oracle cards for myself every day. They support me and uplift me.
3. I really enjoy crafting. So whether I am at work making personalized gifts for the shop, or at home making gifts for my family & friends, it’s something I always consider self care.

And of course… chocolate!

How Do You Express Yourself Creatively?

One of my favorite ways to express myself has always been through journaling/writing. I am so grateful for the writing classes offered with Beth Knaus, a founding member. I plan to make more time for that when the holidays wind down a bit at the shop. For now, I get to express myself through making candy!

Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera. The premise of the book is that you get a call the day you are going to die. You don’t know how or the exact time, but you are instructed to live your last moments to the fullest. The entire story was a nice reminder that life is short, and we have to make the most of every moment.

Favorite Movie and Why?

I don’t know to pick just one! One of my top favorites has to be Shawshank Redemption. There is something so moving about a the story of someone who was misunderstood and no matter how hard people tried to hold him back, he still ended up exactly where he wanted to be.

“Go to” Quote or Mantra that Grounds You?

Be impeccable with your word. Don’t take anything personally. Don’t make assumptions. Always to your best. – The Four Agreements.

Accomplishment Are You Most Proud of?

Making my way back to Watson’s! Being able to take a step back and really figure out what I wanted to do for a career wasn’t easy. But I am really happy I did.

Best Lesson Learned in Life So Far?

Always make sure to tell the people that you love, that you love them whenever you can.

Advice to Younger Self?

Don’t be so hard on yourself!

What Do You Love Best About Yourself (physical trait or personality characteristic) and Why?

My ability to be a chameleon in the work place. I love being busy and having many different jobs to tackle & I feel like I do a pretty good job doing it.

Any Advice for Women Considering Joining the SheBreathes Collaborative?

Do it! There is something for everyone here. And of course, you’ll get some candy from Watson’s every now and then!

Greene Lady Music & Healing Arts.

How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

Arbonne International.

How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

My 16 years with Arbonne is fueled by my commitment to help people be healthier through awareness of what they use in and on their bodies. Arbonne is more than beautiful, clinically proven products – they are a B Corporation committed to empowerment, transparency and sustainability. They ingredient philosophy goes above and beyond, eliminating over 2000 ingredients where the US has banned less than 15. This is so important – our health is dependent on our daily choices and limiting toxins where we can, my goal is to impact as many people as possible! I believe we all want to be confident, fit and vibrant, and Arbonne is my vehicle to do just that, help others with healthy lifestyle solutions for mind, body and skin. I also know that there is no security in our world when it comes to working for others. It is my goal to continue to build people up and show them that they can succeed in this field no matter where they come from, their age, their background. My success come from belief, attitude and commitment. I have reached the Regional Vice President milestone with Arbonne, a measure of success awarded to few.

My ideal client is a woman who embraces holistic health and botanical solutions, someone who seeks out clean products and nutrition for their own use and for their families. Many others are looking for glowing, young looking skin, a healthier mind and a stronger, leaner body, better eating habits as they face fatigue, gut issues, sleep disorders, headaches. A lot of my clients are vegan, have celiac, or sensitivities to what is offered in the US and for the first time have someone to guide them through choices that a customized for them. My expertise is unique as I have been using and helping my Clients, Preferred Clients and Consultants for 16 years. I create regimens and solutions from aging skin, sensitivities, dry skin , low energy, weight loss and clean eating habits that are life changing for their health. I love what I do because the ripple effect of healthy habits are passed on to children and generations, so make them, good ones!

For those that want to turn their passion of health into a business, I am the right person to coach them. I have fully committed to this company because I believe in the philosophy of people and planet over profit, and know that the time is now to take the healthy living lifestyle and entrepreneurial business opportunity to help people flourish. This is not a hobby for me, it is my passion as an entrepreneur in the global online wellness community, making personal connections and building community with likeminded badass women!

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?

My father was my role model. He was kind, intelligent, committed to my brother and myself. He taught us to do our best in school, to be truthful , to work hard and had an amazing sense of humor. He was an amazing cook and taught us how to eat all kinds of foods, limit the fries and soda to next to none, and to work out everyday . And I do, I work out 6-7 days a week . He always taught us good habits and at an early age I realized that we become what do daily. My father was the most honest man that I know, and this has carried through in all that I do.

Commonwealth Financial Group.

How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

Helping someone to feel and be their best self is the most rewarding and fulfilling feeling. Knowing that my work is supporting others and their dreams has created the most positive environment I could have ever dreamed of.

Who Is Your Ideal Client and Why?

My ideal clients are people who are goal-oriented people who are excited to learn and to succeed in life! If you are ready to roll up your sleeves, take control of your finances and create a strategy to get you to your personal and professional goals faster than you dreamed of, then we are a great match!

My plans are very comprehensive and cover the following areas: Cash flow and debt management, retirement planning, protection planning, investment planning, income tax planning, estate & charitable giving as well as assistance to loved ones (caring for aging parents and children with disabilities).

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?

My role model growing up was my riding instructor Gail. She taught me some of the most valuable lessons in my life which were to be comfortable being uncomfortable, work hard, be polite, dream bigger, be creative, be accountable and if you believe in yourself anything is possible. She was always having me ride extremely challenging horses and pushing me past my limitations and fears to come out the other side stronger and more capable.

Favorite Place to Escape and Refuel?

I love visiting Western Massachusetts! I love taking trips to Hadley where we reconnect with our friends, nature, favorite restaurants and the horses!

Top 3 Ways to Treat Yourself to Self-Care?

1.I love to go for walks in the woods.
2. Reading.
3. Being with animals.

How Do You Express Yourself Creatively?

I love to cook! I especially like to cook with fresh veggies and herbs from my own garden or unique ingredients from farm stands, and cultural markets. For date night, sometimes my husband and I will go to a grocery store like Wegmans and gather random ingredients, see what we grab and then come home and see what we can make out of it!

Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?

I absolutely loved reading Beneath the Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan. It is a remarkable true story in World War 2 in Italy. I love this book because it shows how resilient human beings are and even in the darkest moments in the face of great adversity you will never regret staying true to your values.

Favorite Movie and Why?

My favorite movie is Seabiscuit. I love this movie because it’s about a family that chose each other and how despite any limitations that are perceived, you are capable of anything you set your mind to. I also love historical movies and thought this one was done beautifully. The horses are a bonus!

“Go to” Quote or Mantra that Grounds You?

“A Cherokee elder was teaching his young grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil- he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt and ego. The other is good- he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. This same fight is going on inside you—and inside every other person, too.” The boy thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The elder simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Accomplishment Are You Most Proud of?

One of the accomplishments that I am most proud of was the most neglected horses that I rehabbed. He was a beautiful thoroughbred (though not when we met) and despite having won over $50,000 in earnings from racing he was neglected and abandoned. When he came to me, he had an infection in all of his feet, an infection in his ears, he had over grown teeth preventing him from being able to eat enough and hence was under weight, as well as had muscle atrophy and a disorder called kissing spines. I worked with him for months to bring him back to health and then started working him. I was eventually able to get him back to the level where he was ready to be rehomed and I was able to find him an AMAZING owner. She treats him like a king and he now stays at a high end barn, has a chiropractor, a misuse and custom supplements. I have gone to visit him since he has been rehomed and he is so happy and spoiled <3
