Finding Your Flow

February 1, 2021

You know that feeling when you are totally in sync with the world around you?

You trust that the Universe has your back and everything is happening in divine order.
You have an abundance of energy and feel inspired to spread positivity everywhere you go.
You believe with your whole heart that everything you want and need is already flowing to you and that life is amazing!
Perhaps it’s been a while since you’ve felt this way, especially after the year we’ve had. But it is that very state of flow that I’m aspiring to this year. A flow state, also known as being in the zone, is when a person is performing an activity in which he/she is fully immersed with energized focus, full involvement, and pure enjoyment. To be in the flow means that you are consciously being in harmony with whatever it is you are doing in that moment. Sounds wonderful doesn’t it? But that begs the question…how do we fall out of the flow?
The culprit is resistance. What we resist, persists. We are all made up of energy and energy is in constant motion… so it makes perfect sense that when we resist something, things will stop flowing naturally. When you start to feel out of the flow, simply ask yourself if you’re forcing something that doesn’t align with your true intentions. Determine what is blocking you from moving forward. Most of our blockages come from lingering limiting beliefs that were shaped in our formative years (between ages 0-7) and reside in our subconscious mind for years to come until we uncover and unblock them.
The good news is that each new moment provides us the opportunity to shift our mindset and change course. By mindfully bringing awareness to our thoughts and feelings we can significantly modify our behaviors. This shift helps us make the transition to a place of allowing – a state of mind where we trust things to unfold, as they are meant to unfold – and find our way back into balance and harmony. Once you shift your mindset and align with these energy patterns, it can still be challenging to stay in the flow because life happens and we get knocked off balance from time to time. But don’t give up.
Take a quiet moment to tap into your intuition and listen to your inner guidance. Notice any physical signs from your body that may be showing signs of distress and breathe slowly and mindfully into those areas. Pay attention to your emotions and then consciously choose to take actions that bring you back to center. Finding and staying in the flow is a continual practice. It’s a state of evolution but returning to it time and time again is worthwhile. I look forward to my practice of living in the flow and hope you enjoy the journey of your own personal growth and expansion in the days, weeks and months to come.
High Vibes and Grateful Heart, XO, Jenn
