Healing Sessions
Reiki means “Universal Life Force Energy.” It is the energy of unconditional love. Reiki Healing dates back 3,000 years. However, it was rediscovered in the 1800s in Japan. The only requirement for Reiki to work is a sincere desire from the client, to receive the healing energy for their highest good. As a certified Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master/Teacher, spiritual intuitive, and empathic healer, I feel a profound joy in working with my clients to bring about the healing they seek.

I have always been an energy healer and light worker…somewhere along the way, I forgot/suppressed/denied it. When I was a young girl, I could “see” things that nobody else could see; I “heard” sounds that nobody else could hear; I “felt” things that nobody else could feel. The most influential person in my life at that time was my dad. He was very forward-thinking. He recognized my exhibited abilities and worked to help me understand and develop them. Every opportunity that became available – whether it was attending a psychic fair (we went to many), talking about the spirit world, teaching me how to gaze into a crystal ball, teaching me about astrology, or how to read Tarot cards – he capitalized on it. 

When I was around 8 years old, my mother had terrible arthritis in her knees, necessitating her use of crutches. One day, my father asked me to clap my hands together and tell him if I felt anything between them. I told him I felt what I described as a “spikey, tingly ball.” His response was, “Great! Put your hands on your mother’s knees and let’s see what happens, if anything.” The heat emanating from them was intense from the moment I laid my hands on her knees. So much so that she commented on how hot my hands felt. Each day for a few months, my mother would ask me to help her knees. After each couple of sessions, her pain would seem to subside, and her dependence on her crutches became less and less necessary.

Then, life took over. I was a young teenager and living amidst all of the teenage drama when my dad died suddenly and unexpectedly. I was 15 going on 16. At that point, I essentially turned my back on my abilities – but not completely. I recognized and accepted, but repressed them. In 2007, one of my uncles was suffering from end-stage cancer. One of my sisters had become a Reiki practitioner and was providing healing for him. One day, I was visiting him in his hospital room while she was there for his Reiki healing session. My mind was blown away when I realized I could “see” the transfer of energy between both of them – it was a beautiful, violet light flowing from his Crown chakra to her hands and back. How special was it that I was privileged to witness this?

Again, life took over. I was now married with two very busy boys and working full time. For my 50th birthday, I decided to explore Reiki and gifted myself a healing session. That personal experience was the spark I needed to jettison my journey into energy healing. It’s difficult to describe, but during my healing, I felt as if I was flying through the galaxy, gliding among the stars. When my session ended, I spoke about this to my practitioner, who was overjoyed to hear my story. I began researching where I could learn how to provide this to others so that they may experience their version of what I had! And then, the pandemic hit. I didn’t give up – I persisted. And in January 2021, I attended my own Reiki I workshop and received my attunements. I practiced on my family and received my Reiki II certification in March of 2021. I continued to read and practice on myself, but still felt something was missing. I took a trip of self-discovery to Mt. Shasta, California, where I managed to unbox decades worth of denial, repression, self-sabotage, and worthiness (or lack thereof). These were my very own blockages I had subconsciously placed and needed to remove before I could help anyone else. While that will always be a work in progress, in October of 2023, I became a member of WeBreathe Wellness, without ever having attended any of Jenn’s meetings or events that the various members had held there. I knew I had found my place. With Jenn’s encouragement and support, I received my Usui Holy Fire Master/Teacher certification in October 2024.

During my journey to now, I have realized that I am merely the conduit, and I can help my clients create space within themselves, which allows them to be open to the healing they are looking for. Please let me do the same for you!

Before our sessions together, we will discuss whether you prefer a hands-on or hands-off approach and if there is a particular area that you would like me to focus on. I will connect with you by holding your hands for a brief moment, and then I will ask you to please set your intention for your healing. I will also incorporate crystals, particularly selenite, as it is a particularly cleansing crystal. I begin each session by calling in my Reiki guides, spirit guides, ascended masters, and guardian angels, and inviting your spirit guides and guardian angels to assist with your healing. I will then walk you through some breathwork to begin the relaxation process and guide you through a short meditation. Each session will be different as I’m intuitively called to work on particular areas – energy flows, where attention goes! You may fall asleep or you may not. Either is perfectly ok! If you do, it means that I’ve done my job in getting your body into a state of deep relaxation to assist your energy to flow. And if you don’t, that’s perfectly ok, too! You may or may not feel your body tingling or twitching – if you experience this, energy is being moved and released. If you feel hot or cold, trust that this is normal.  The energy will flow regardless.

My goal is that you leave with a sense of calm among the chaos, a heart full of happiness and balance, a relaxed and renewed spirit, and a sense of lightness of being.

My game is suitable for people who are satisfied with their lives, but want to understand the direction for further development, and those who are confused and strive for large-scale changes and solutions to complex problems.

The versatility of the game is that it will suit everyone who has a desire and request. Players take turns throwing the dice and accupying the fields according the dice number. Each field has its unique meaning that reflects your inside feeling towards your request. The goal is considered achieved when the player’s chip has landed at the number 50.

Karissa is a board certified critical care registered nurse who uses her expertise to provide safe and sterile piercings for all ages. She specializes in ear and nose piercings (for any other piercing please contact before booking). Minimum age for ear lobes is 4 months and up to date on vaccines.
