How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

My love of holistic health, wellness, and beauty started as a young child growing up in a salon. seeing my mother and grandmother working their craft and transforming women in their chair was magical for me to witness. Watching them connecting and empowering women was a true gift to witness. Unfortunately, many products today that make you feel beautiful are harmful and toxic. In my adult years, I switched out all households and personal care products for non-toxic ones. It wasn’t until after I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease that I really started to pay attention to what I was putting in my body. I started educating myself diving deep into functional and holistic nutrition.

Despite my efforts of maintaining and implementing a health nurturing home for my family, my firstborn was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I had just finished my first Yoga Teacher Training and just open a yoga studio. And just like that instantly I became a full-time caregiver to a young child living with an unforgiving disease. I provided around the clock care. During this time I neglected my own self-care having to manage my son’s disease running on little to no sleep. My body couldn’t maintain this type of living. I gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I suffered from chronic inflammation and chronic fatigue. Eventually, I was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease. I realized this was problematic and I needed to make a change. I wanted to deepen my understanding of holistic health so I enrolled in The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Right before classes were started my second child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. You can imagine what that left me feeling like a bit hopeless and overwhelmed, to say the least. I continued with classes for the next year and a half and I’m so glad that I did because what I gained was a perspective that I needed to save my own health and wellness. Now my self-care game is on point, I’m healthy strong and feel 100 percent. I learned how to implement a self-care protocol that is obtainable and easy to follow.

My motivation and passion to help others is driven by my personal experience. I help my clients by being absolutely relatable. They see themselves in my story. Whether they’re a caregiver themselves or a mother who’s feeling emotionally and physically drained. I help them by recognizing their own self -care need and desire to live as the healthiest version of themselves. I truly love sharing my crafts of clean holistic beauty, functional movement, and personal health coaching. .
