Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?

For fiction I have been into Lisa Jewell who has the ability to tell a story on two timelines, then masterfully brings it all together in the end. Business books include Mel Robbins, Profit First, and a book about the psychology of color and how it affects our choices in life.

Favorite Movie and Why?

Birdcage with Robin Williams because it ALWAYS makes me laugh.

“Go to” Quote or Mantra that Grounds You?

This may be rude, but “suck it up buttercup” can snap me out of a “can’t do” or “poor me” funk. We all need to take a breath and keep going as business owners, and my sarcastic humor appreciate this phrase and makes me smile enough to move forward.

Growing my business through the recession and recently covid.

Listen! We never know where pearls of wisdom will come from, what tid bit or interesting person will enter your life and teach you something new.

Advice to Younger Self?

Be brave and just do it. It doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks, you are stronger than you know.

What Do You Love Best About Yourself (physical trait or personality characteristic) and Why?

Calm under pressure, professionalism. This is a trait that has served me well through business and so many have said it is so relaxing to have me cook for them. My friends know I won’t judge or get mad, that I appreciate honesty and can see the positive in almost any situation.

Any Advice for Women Considering Joining the SheBreathes Collaborative?

As I am brand new, I am still learning about the community, but this is a different style of networking for me and already feel it will be beneficial. SO my advice – be open to new ideas, new opportunities and go out and meet someone new. Again you never know where life will take you.
