How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

I have always been drawn to careers that involve acts of service because of my passion for helping people. Prior to financial advising I was a college coach, and before that I was a teacher. Being able to teach individuals the necessary skills that will set them up for future success is what motivates me every day.

Who Is Your Ideal Client and Why?

My ideal client is one who is upwardly mobile in their career, looking to gain financial literacy. People who are experience life events; marriage, homeownership, parenthood as well.

What Unique Offerings Do You Provide?

Holistic Financial Strategizing-everything from learning how to budget to estate planning. I care about you as a person not a number and make sure you’re learning throughout the whole process.

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?

My Brother, Ian Thomas-Minor. Watching him start a company whose focus is to educate and empower our underserved populations inspired me to do the same. The underserved population in the financial world is the majority unfortunately. The RIGHT information just isn’t readily available.

Favorite Place to Escape and Refuel?

Martha’s Vineyard.

1. Sitting by the beach.
2. A visit to see my family in NYC.
3. Going to the hair salon.

How Do You Express Yourself Creatively?

I love to sing! I grew up in a family full of singers.

Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?

Maya Angelou, The Heart of a Woman. It had so much history intertwined with the struggles women face everyday.

Favorite Movie and Why?

Sister Act 2. Because it has beautiful singing in it. But it always teaches a valuable lesson about perseverance and a little confidence can make all the difference.

Accept the limitations of your loved ones.

Accomplishment Are You Most Proud of?

Helping my brother start his non-profit Connective Inc. My proudest accomplishments always relate back to me giving back in some way.

Best Lesson Learned in Life So Far?

You get back what you put out. If you are positive and open-minded you will naturally be drawn to those same people and opportunities.

Advice to Younger Self?

Don’t sweat the small stuff! You have the tools to handle all that life throws at you.

What Do You Love Best About Yourself (physical trait or personality characteristic) and Why?

I love that I am a great listener! Listening and being empathetic makes me the go-to for advice in all my professional and personal circle and allows me to help people no matter where I am or what I’m doing.
