How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

My love of holistic health, wellness, and beauty started as a young child growing up in a salon. seeing my mother and grandmother working their craft and transforming women in their chair was magical for me to witness. Watching them connecting and empowering women was a true gift to witness. Unfortunately, many products today that make you feel beautiful are harmful and toxic. In my adult years, I switched out all households and personal care products for non-toxic ones. It wasn’t until after I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease that I really started to pay attention to what I was putting in my body. I started educating myself diving deep into functional and holistic nutrition.

Despite my efforts of maintaining and implementing a health nurturing home for my family, my firstborn was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I had just finished my first Yoga Teacher Training and just open a yoga studio. And just like that instantly I became a full-time caregiver to a young child living with an unforgiving disease. I provided around the clock care. During this time I neglected my own self-care having to manage my son’s disease running on little to no sleep. My body couldn’t maintain this type of living. I gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I suffered from chronic inflammation and chronic fatigue. Eventually, I was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease. I realized this was problematic and I needed to make a change. I wanted to deepen my understanding of holistic health so I enrolled in The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Right before classes were started my second child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. You can imagine what that left me feeling like a bit hopeless and overwhelmed, to say the least. I continued with classes for the next year and a half and I’m so glad that I did because what I gained was a perspective that I needed to save my own health and wellness. Now my self-care game is on point, I’m healthy strong and feel 100 percent. I learned how to implement a self-care protocol that is obtainable and easy to follow.

My motivation and passion to help others is driven by my personal experience. I help my clients by being absolutely relatable. They see themselves in my story. Whether they’re a caregiver themselves or a mother who’s feeling emotionally and physically drained. I help them by recognizing their own self -care need and desire to live as the healthiest version of themselves. I truly love sharing my crafts of clean holistic beauty, functional movement, and personal health coaching. .

Game Changer Interview: Michele Julian

Game Changer Interview: Michele Julian

Name of Your Business

Julian Method Creator Michele Julian.

How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?

My passion for helping you to tune into your inner Goddess comes from the fact that I myself had to learn to trust my inner voice.I had to find my own path. Even though I was scared. I had to believe that every door that you open leads you to the road towards your best life, even if you’re scared. It basically all comes down to courage.

My passion of creating the Julian Method was all born through a combination of my many years of being a successful holistic wellness practitioner and my own personal journey. It was a long journey with many obstacles, challenges and even near death experiences.

Through it all, I prevailed because of my own deciding to be the director of my own story. Being that director brought me to many high points in my life because through it all I learned about myself, how I work, and the spiritual aspects of rising to my own Goddess state. It became a practice. A very powerful practice.

This is what the Julian Method consists of: Creating a practice for yourself. The sort of practice you have to stay curious, and stay open about to truly embody it through consistency and joy.

Through fear and courage I was able to stay true to my own inner voice, and I am here to help you to find, harness, and honor your inner voice so we can all hear and see the Goddess that is within you.

It’s about teaching you to trust your own call, so you can find your own inner goddess’s energy and finding how you can magnetize that energy and tap into your highest self, so that you can be inherently present in your everyday life with yourself first. (And then, with the people around you.)

Who Is Your Ideal Client and Why?

You need to finally practice consistent SELF-CARE.

You want to move with the flow of this present uncertain time while being fully present in your body.

You know that your center of balance, requires recalibrating to FEEL your body is aligned.

You know you need to calm anxiety, move with more intention.

You are ready for the next evolution of redefining what being spiritually aligned and connected looks like individually not a cookie cutter, or specific system.

As a Goddess you’re an energetic being.

You no longer depend on traditional medicine.

You know you can use your body to heal itself and that your emotional intelligence resides with in you just like a brain 🧠 intelligence

It’s a Gut feeling.

YOU NEED A GUIDE/TEACHER TO: FACILITATE CHANGE

☀️trust that you’re self healing organism and your body knows exactly how to make that happen

⭐️I find that my body will tell me with thoughts about the remedy or drawing my attention as it pops up in my awareness

This is why I created the Julian Method Spiritually Aligned Healthy Goddess Collective

Self-Care is ageless Self Cure

What Unique Offerings Do You Provide?

GUIDED FACILITATOR YOGA/MEDITATION, GEM METHOD, MINDY-BODY INTELLIGENCE.

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?

Both Parents were my role models.

My dad taught me everything about sales.

I actually would go out with my dad on sales calls when I was 10 years old.

I watched my Dad never sell just offer advice. I believe that learning how to communicate with confidence at a very young age, is why I have been so successful.

My Mother was great at listening and giving advice based on her own beliefs and experience and knowledge.

I will never forget when I was at a many cross roads my Mother would encourage me to listen to my own inner voice, she truly knew that I would be empowered this way. Which makes so much sense. This was huge. I skated professionally with Dorothy Hamill and traveled from east coast to west coast. It was my dream job, traveling and skating.

It was a great experience to stretch myself with not only physical challenges, but mental challenges as well.

When you are out there on the ice you have to be very precise with your turns and spins. One false move you could break your neck.

So I promise you that if you have a dream, faith and hustle will get you what you so desire. You can’t expect instant gratification.

You must be 100% committed to staying curious. I promise if you follow this curiosity with an open faithful heart, God willing, you will be on your path.

If you are willing to get your uniform dirty, do what’s necessary with a little hustle. Magic will happen, miracles are manifested.

Who would ever have thought a woman over 40 years old would go back to school and receive a 4.0 GPA, even though she was diagnosed with a learning disability?

This same woman built a health & wellness business that has healed thousands of people over the past 20+ years. This same woman bought her condominium at the peak of the market in 2004. 12 years later this same woman sold at sellers market and is now building equity towards her retirement.

I am this woman who had faith in my dreams and that something extraordinary was going to happen, even though at times I couldn’t even fully understand how and why?

It’s not my job to ask why, It’s my job to stay open and curious and use my imagination to live out my wildest life.

Favorite Place to Escape and Refuel?

Beach, lake, mountains.

Top 3 Ways to Treat Yourself to Self-Care?

1.Nourishment with fuel for my body.
2.Un plug from technology every other weekend for 4 days.
3.Meditation with Movement.

How Do You Express Yourself Creatively?

Singing, dancing, vision boarding.

Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?

“Untamed” by Glennon Doyle. This book is so good on all of the levels of the soul. She shares her voice through story telling in a magical way that teaches you how you are here to show up fully to live your wildest life even with our own individual brokenness or wholeness. It’s a story of how each of us can begin to trust ourselves enough to set boundaries, make peace with our bodies, honor our anger and heartbreak, and unleash our truest, wildest instincts so that we become women who can finally look at ourselves and say “THERE SHE IS”.

Favorite Movie and Why?

Forrest Gump: love this quote from the movie “like a box of chocolates … you never know what you’re gonna get” as it serves up an abundance of surprising treats, sometimes sweet and sometimes bitter. I loved this movie because Forrest Gump was determined no matter what other people saw, he had a lens of the cup of water as being over flowing with possibilities , he stayed curios, positive, kind, heart centered even when other people were not nice. We need more Forrest Gumps in this world.

“Go to” Quote or Mantra that Grounds You?

In a society that says ” Put your self Last”,  self-love and self acceptance are almost revolutionary.

Accomplishment Are You Most Proud of?

My Daughter.

Best Lesson Learned in Life So Far?

Being weird is a good thing.

Advice to Younger Self?

Learn to say No.

What Do You Love Best About Yourself (physical trait or personality characteristic) and Why?

Eyes that are brown and magnetic, I love being cheerful and positive .

Any Advice for Women Considering Joining the SheBreathes Collaborative?

Do it, you deserve it.
