How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?
I have always loved writing, and how it can be used persuasively to open peoples minds to other perspectives. I love to find the best crisp and descriptive language for my clients and my own personal writing.

Who Is Your Ideal Client and Why?
My ideal client wants to be seen in writing as realistically and individually as possible. They trust in my ability to come up with the right things to say, and they like to collaborate on their projects with me.

What Unique Offerings Do You Provide?

I really enjoy doing “About” pages, bios, and “read aloud” bios. People are too close to themselves to write confidently about their strength and valuable qualities. It’s rewarding to bring that out when writing about someone.

Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?

My Dad. He was honest and hard working, generous and kind. He taught me how to live in the moment and how to deal with difficult decisions.

Favorite Place to Escape and Refuel?
It’s a balance of the beach and the city.

Top 3 Ways to Treat Yourself to Self-Care?
Facials, massages, time with friends

How Do You Express Yourself Creatively?
I like funky clothes, writing, cooking and singing .

Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?
The Separation by Tova Mirvis. It’s a memoir about how the author not only left her husband but her life of Orthodox Judaism.

Favorite Movie and Why?
About Last Night. Rob Lowe, Demi Moore’s Sweaters, and the soundtrack. Need I say more?

“Go to” Quote or Mantra that Grounds You?
Everything in moderation.

Accomplishment Are You Most Proud of?
My three respectful, responsible and talented kids.

Best Lesson Learned in Life So Far?
The right thing is rarely the easiest thing.

Advice to Younger Self?
You’re capable of doing and being whatever you set your mind to.

What Do You Love Best About Yourself (physical trait or personality characteristic) and Why?
I love my smile because smiling has a powerful effect on people. And my sense of humor- I shoot from the hip.

Game Changer Interview: Dr. Cathy Ripley-Greene

Name of Your Business
Cathy Ripley Greene, Psychic Medium

How Does Your Work Enable You to Connect to and Fulfill Your Life Purpose/Passion?
As a Medium it is my joy to connect with those in Spirit – making connections with their loved ones here – to support the healing of grieving hearts

Who Is Your Ideal Client and Why?
Unique to my profession, I can say that there is not a single person alive who would not benefit from my services as a Medium. Connecting with a loved one who has passed is healing, inspiring and the information that comes thorugh never ceases to amaze me.

What Unique Offerings Do You Provide?
I see dead people – that’s pretty unique right? LOL! I actually sense them, feel their feelings, hear them and understand what they are trying to get across to you.

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?
One of my role models was actually a Spirit Guide who continues to support and guide me even now. There was and is much to learn about the world of spirit and especially in my younger days, I needed direction and encouragement to support my growth and encourage me to trust and honor the connection.

Favorite Place to Escape and Refuel?
Into the ether – what I mean is meditation…nothing better but otherwise, on my bike riding through country roads or sitting on my deck with my husband enjoying the calm.

Top 3 Ways to Treat Yourself to Self-Care?
Meditation – Massage – Time Off

How Do You Express Yourself Creatively?
I enjoy sharing my knowledge, teaching workshops holding groups – creating opportunities for others to learn and grow through their connection with spirit.

Last Memorable Book You Read and Why?
Evolve Your Brain, Joe DIspenza. This is not an easy read as it is very scientific but due to a severe accident I experienced in October of 2017 and my continuing recovery, I was studying the brain to body connection and how I could assist my recovery in ways outside the norm. It’s all about creating new neuronal connections and with my background as a physician I even found it hard to read. BUT, the information is invaluable. On a lighter note, I am reading John Holland’s Bridging Two Realms which is about assiting the lay person on how to see the connections with their loved ones is spirit. As I teach workshops on the subject, I love learning anything possible so I can help others.

Favorite Movie and Why?
I have always loved the Ruth Gordon Movie, Harold and Maude. It’s about a rather unique relationship between a young man fixated on death and dying and an elderly woman who attend funerals for enjoyment. It fascinated me when I was younger and still does – death and dying are a huge part of life and being comfortable with thinking about it and talking about it is healthy. Surprised I ended up as a Medium when movies about death and dying were my favorite?

“Go to” Quote or Mantra that Grounds You?
All Is Well…..

Accomplishment Are You Most Proud of?
In June of 2017 I retired after 27 years as a Chiropractic Physician. I am proud of what my team and I provided in the arena of alternative health care and support for all of those years. I am also happy with my decision to move towards healing people heal through the art of Mediumship.

Best Lesson Learned in Life So Far?
Everything ALWAYS works out.

Advice to Younger Self?
Be who you are, always!

What Do You Love Best About Yourself (physical trait or personality characteristic) and Why?
I appreciate my sense of humor. It serves me well in making people feel comfortable and uplifted during an otherwise intense session with Spirit. It serves me well in everyday life as well and after all, laughter heals.

Who Was Your Role Model Growing Up? How Did That Person’s Actions Impact You?
My role model was – is – my Aunt Edie.  Edie is only 11 years older than I am, so she is more of a sister than an aunt – but without the sibling rivalry thing 😊. Edie shows me how to present an authentic and positive persona to all around. Everywhere that Edie goes, she brings along that feeling of “Yay!  Edie’s here!”

Edie’s actions have impacted me by modeling the fact that living in a positive attitude and light attracts those energies back at you. As I move through my life now, I am dedicated to surrounding my self with bright and beautiful attitude.

Ahab’s Wife by Sena Jeter Naslund.  The prose in this book is so descriptive. The author describes every experience in such detail that we can truly experience what she is telling us. This book is a wonderful reminder to take note of even the tiniest details in our everyday life.

Favorite Movie and Why?
Not a movie – but I have been flipping out about the series Planet Earth II.  Our world is amazing!

“Go to” Quote or Mantra that Grounds You?
“Success”

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.

~~~  attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson
Accomplishment Are You Most Proud of?
Establishing my business is my professional accomplishment.
I’d have to say I consider building a loving and supportive life with my best friend, my high school sweetheart, my husband is the most rewarding and valuable accomplishment. Raising 4 of my own kids – and mentoring a few others – also fills my cup.
